Lift Points on Accord ?

I have read through the manual and found the lift points.. however
what I want to do is put the car on "blocks" for a while... how do I
lift on the right points and still put blocking under them to support
the car? Is there a location on the "frame" to place the jack stands
and/or blocaks?
any suggestions?

Re: Lift Points on Accord ?

I just place the jack a little off the recommended jack points, then slip the
jackstands in at the recommended jack points.

Re: Lift Points on Accord ?

The best method is to use a hydraulic floor jack to lift the car from the
front center lift point, then place jack stands under the car along a good
piece of frame. Don't use a section of from in the middle of the side to try
and hold the front and rear wheels off the ground at the same time from one
jack. This will damage the frame. Use a section of frame near the wheel
only, preferably near a joint where more frame is meeting it.

I generally place the jack stand under a portion of the frame, which is a
little farther under the car from the lift point. The lift point is
designated as it is because the supplied lifting mechanism fits there. I
wouldn't place my hydraulic lift there though, as the interface is kind of
set up for the cars jack.

If you don't have a hydraulic jack and you're using the supplied crank style
jack, just lift it up at the lift point and place a jack stand farther
underneath, under the frame. I use the portion of frame that's fairly close
to the front wheel where another piece of frame is crossing. Hard to
describe in words, but its a fairly robust section of frame.
