lockup clutch

I had a question I was reading about a lockup clutch torque convertor, I was
wondering is it a good investment? Any links on where to buy it? Does it
make a big difference or what?

Re: lockup clutch

Even my '87 Civic had a lock-up torque converter, so I would be
surprised if you car ('96, right?) does not have one already.

Re: lockup clutch

All Honda Automatic Gearboxes have had a lock up clutch fitted since 1984.
They used to lock up in top gear only but since the early 90's they lock up
on all gears except first gear. A lock up clutch does more for fuel economy
than performance. Many other Manufacturers have not had them as standard for
as long as Honda and normally they only lock top gear.
