Motor mounts on 2000 Odyssey EX
 

I've had two shops tell me now that my motor mounts
need replacing, the Honda dealership and the second
an independent shop. How common is this? I have
96k on it.

Make sure they are testing the mounts per the OEM service manual. The mounts
are oil filled active mounts. The front is controlled by an
electronic/vacuum circuit. If they are just looking at the engine movement
they may not be bad. They do go bad all too often on the Odyssey. That
superior Honda engineering. Search on the forum at www.odyclub.com for all
Odyssey problems.
