Navi computer geeks?

We love the navi system we have in our new Accord. We will be towing our
Accord behind our motorhome and traveling for a couple months. Being
semi-computer literate I was wondering if there was a way to video out the
infomation from the DVD navi sytem to a laptop we would have in our
motorhome. Of course I could just use Streets and Trips and a GPS
receiver but I thought I would see if anyone has ever done anything with
their Navi and a laptop. Also does anyone know if that DVD software would
work in a laptop hooked to a GPS receiver? I guess I can fiddle with it but
thought I would ask you guys first. I was also kind of brainstorming and
thinking maybe I could hook up some sort of speaker in the RV that would
pickup the voice directions from the Navi. DonnaB

Your desires are why I didn't buy the GPS system in my Accord. Street Atlas
plus a gps cost around $100. You will have spent more than that before you
are through doing what you propose here. Besides, your towed Accord's engine
will not be charging the battery which must be used to run the Accord's gps
system... Al

Well my husband agrees with you. So much for my idea. However, I really
love the Navi in the Accord in spite of the cost. But my husband says we
can just use his GPS receiver with STREETS AND TRIPS in the RV AND BE DONE
WITH IT. Thanks for your input. DonnaB
