Re: need chassis parts for 98 civic
Thanks for the response jim.
My civic has 231000kms on it. Gave the dealership the opportunity to have a look, with the understanding that I would be doing any major work myself. The upper balljoint is definitely shot, I shoulda picked up on that a while ago, even noticed some weird steering behaviour. Did the old play test, just grabbed it and tried to rock the car back and forth. There is definitely alot of play, I am not even that comfortable driving it right now, although I'm sure that it would take alot for it to pop. The rear upper arm is also shot, the bushings are toast, and the whole arm is leaning against the frame of the car. t jim beam wrote: >> Hi all, >> >[quoted text clipped - 13 lines] >> Thanks >> t > >for a start, that is a suspension component, not a chassis component. i >wouldn't buy that on principle if the seller didn't now the difference, >but i'm a pedanic a-hole. > >why do you need these parts? where did you get the diagnosis done? >what mileage do you have? -- Message posted via CarKB.com http://www.carkb.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx...-cars/200509/1 |
