New 03 Pilot windows had globs of glue stuck on it
I picked up my 03 pilot (92k miles) from the dealer tonight and it was
dark - I had about 15 minutes to get to a meeting down the street from the dealer. On the way I squirted the washers and found that the installer left globs of glue inside and outside the window, both in front of my face and in the front of the passenger's viewing area - is it normal for a honda dealer to expect a customer to carry razor blades to scrape hard globes of glue of brand new honda glass - I think I paid $588 installed - or I am I right expecting a new clean glass? I could have had the done by a mobile installed for $200 175 less with safelite glass but I wanted Honda glass. Now I have to make trip #2 to the dealer, luckily the dealer is top notch and worth the trip. I have always had the best service from them. I think the problem is with the sub. Rocky |

1. I've used safelite several times in the past and they were fine.
2. While you can't blame the dealer for the sub's sloppy work, it is ultimately the dealer's responsibility. A really good dealer does a quick check on cars returned from a sub and does what's necessary before the customer arrives to pick it up. Re: New 03 Pilot windows had globs of glue stuck on it
The dealer apologiez and said they would give me a loaner car and they would
clean up the windshield, no problem - is this something I can clean easily myself - is there a solvent to pickup at autozone that won't harm the glass-I assume the windshield it plastic coated on both sides of the glass? john "Kenneth J. that make sense - so it won't scratch as easily

Re: New 03 Pilot windows had globs of glue stuck on it
problem solved - at the carwash, they had a foamy spray in a can they used
by hand after the pilot went through the full wash. after the foam soaked, they carefully used a decal scraper like emmmissions testing uses and the globs of glue came off perfectly, no scratches! once you explained it was glass inside, then I let them have at it.
