Does anyone know if there was just a Recall announced for the Odyssey.
I own a 2001 EX.

Negative. The recall was for 'certain' 2002 - 2004 Odysseys, along with
some other Honda vehicles. I also have a 2001 EX.

That's right, the recall was for 2002-2004 Odyssey's, Pilot's, & CRVs'. The
recall was related to AT failure specifically when towing.

recall applies to 2002-2003 oddys and 2003 pilots. all of them.
also applies to some early production 2004 oddys, and pilots.
the crv is not included. and the parts are sparse. they are shipping
them in small lots due to supply.
