Odyssey Sliding Door Noise

I have a '00 Odyssey and have some minor door noise near the rear
portion of the left sliding door which you can hear over an uneven road.
I've been told by a Honda mechanic that the door rollers surfaces wear
off giving a great clearance between the roller and the "groove". He
said the steel rollers have an softer exterior somewhat like a "tire"
which abrades away in time.
It's been said that many of the dealers as well as Honda America are
aware and are replacing the rollers without cost even after the warranty
period.
Does anyone out there have any information that I can look up to
verify that this is a known problem and how to have it taken care of by
either a dealer or body shop.
Thanks in advance.
Ron

I don't have any info for you but I would like you to answer the question I
asked in your thread about 2000 Odyssey tires.

Re: Odyssey Sliding Door Noise

(Followup Activities)

We did a search with a Honda Service Manager looking for a recall,
product update, Honda GoodWill repair and found nothing about door
rollers failing.
Also checked their inventory on the roller parts over the past four
years and found no great movement or increase in inventory turnover.
Finally, we checked my door rollers and found no deterioration in any
of them.
I then took some silicon spray lubricant and wiped it on all of the
door gaskets on all doors to see if the "noise" I was hearing might be
some evidence of door movement or flexing. Don't laugh, but it just
may be a bit more quiet.
Not sure what I've accomplished but appreciate the interest of those
of you who had suggestions. The OdyClub seems to have a few comments on
this noise "problem" but I have not, as yet, made any inquiries with
those persons.
