Put in your car's info at
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...catdisplay.jsp . Then choose the "breather ____" at the menu. A drawing that might be helpful will come up. www.autozone.com has free repair guides (look for the link on the right) and "component location guides." It's highly likely you'll get some good clues there about the PCV valve's location. I'm not confident replacing the PCV valve is the cure. But it's cheap enough that it's worth a try. I'm messing with the EACV (electronic air control valve) at the moment on my 1991 Civic, as it's having an idle-RPM dip problem, but generally prior to warmup. A lot of the troubleshooting guides point to it, the ECU, or maybe the coolant temperature sensor for RPM problems. Updates always welcome, for the edification of the world. <lbierre@houston.rr.com> wrote > am searching for the pcv valve on a carborated 88 honda accord engine. have > breather off, can`t see anything like what i bought. engine won`t run after > it warms up, wants to drop rpm and die. have cheated and adjusted > accellerator cable to keep rpm up, but need to find pcv valve, or other > cure. > lance (thanx) |

Re: pcv valve 88 honda
I had a similar problem couple of years ago on my 89 Accord. Ended up being
a damaged vacuum line at the choke puller which is below the breather on the left side of the carb. The vacuum wasn't pulling on the choke puller arm. As for the PCV valve it is just in front of the breather and just behind the valve cover. It will have a kinda spongey looking hose connected to it. It you have small hands you can change it without removing the breather housing. <lbierre@houston.rr.com> wrote in message news:G4fNc.32648$pR5.3202@fe2.texas.rr.com... > am searching for the pcv valve on a carborated 88 honda accord engine. have > breather off, can`t see anything like what i bought. engine won`t run after > it warms up, wants to drop rpm and die. have cheated and adjusted > accellerator cable to keep rpm up, but need to find pcv valve, or other > cure. > lance (thanx) |
