Popping a dent on quarter panel
I have a small dent behind my drivers side door. There's no chipped
paint or anything, just a dent. Are there any tricks to removing this? I can't easily get behind it, I don't believe. I've heard somewhere about using an ice cube on a hot day to pop out sheet metal dents. TIA |
Re: Popping a dent on quarter panel
Actually not an ice cube, however, Dry Ice, has been known to reverse the
condition "Im anonymous" <acctforjunk@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:bffabe31.0405030511.57b1a6f8@posting.google.c om... > I have a small dent behind my drivers side door. I've seen large, shallow door dents removed with a toilet plunger! |
Re: Popping a dent on quarter panel
The toilet plunger has worked for me! Use a little vaseline around the
edges to get a good seal, pull out the dent, and then rub off the vaseline before it rots the rubber. <bkapaun@hotdeletemail.com> wrote in message news:bkapaun-0305041359290001@dialup-ras26-193.eug.or.uspops.net... > In article <bffabe31.0405030511.57b1a6f8@posting.google.com >, > acctforjunk@yahoo.com (Im anonymous) wrote: > > >I have a small dent behind my drivers side door. This should pop the dent back out. Eric |
