Problem starting car
 

I got a 92 Accord. Every once in a while it won't start. It'll crank OK,
but it won't start. If I keep trying, it'll start. Like I said, this
doesn't happen all the time. What could it be? PCV valve maybe, spark
plugs, spark plug wires? I just got the injectors cleaned. I'm going to
get new plugs and wires.

Dave,

When it's hot inside the car, often right after being shut off (at
corner store / gas station????

Do a google search for 'honda main relay'and you'll probably find your
answer. If you need to make it go, temporarily, while cranking smack the
left dash with your fist. It will start.

I just got a main relay problem on my 91 accord. would often refuse to start
when sitting in the sun, especially when it was humid. I got the main relay
changed (less than 100$ including labor). No problem since then, even under
the hot Texas sun.

I re-soldered mine and saved that money. It took 1/2 hr.

Your new relay may develop the same problem.

Helpful Hint to replace the Main RelayRe: Problem starting car
 

All,
Just re-soldered my main relay also (1987 CRX Si). It's way the heck
down in the most inaccessible, most awkard place possible and there's
absolutely no way to get to the mounting screw. I mentioned this to
the guy who runs the local Honda shop and he said all he ever does is
just pops the relay out of the case. It's just like all the web sites
discuss, but the case is never unscrewed - it stays in the car while
the relay itself is repaired (or replaced, if inclined). Took about
10 minutes, and 5 minutes of that was finding new batteries for the
flashlight....
