R to D Tran noise on 2003 Accord V6

I have a 2003 Accord V6 with 2200 miles on it. With the engine cold,
the first time I shift from Reverse to Drive, I feel (and hear) a noise
from underneath the car, a sound like something is engaging. Have
others experienced this? It doesn't happen unless the engine has been
off an hour or so, nor does it happen everytime (for example, if I keep
it in park upon startup for 5 seconds or so). I've driven sticks for
the past 30 years so it could be I'm just overreacting to something that
isn't that uncommon.

Thanks.

Before anybody chews me out, I was mistaken. It was the 2001 that has the
extended factory warranty on the transmission. Sorry
