radio help
My 94 EX has one of those cassette radios with an anti-theft device. When I
let the battery run down, the power was disconnected to the radio. In an effort to get the radio to work again, I tried following the instructions in the owners manual. I turned the dial on, tried to punch in each of the numbers on the card provided by using the 1-6 station selector numbers on the radio. Nothing happened. Is there something else I should be doing? I thought I would ask before bringing the car to the dealership for service. Thanks Peter Neenan |

If it wasn't there, you didn't need to enter anything. If the radio is playing DEAD, check the fuses in the under-hood and internal fuse boxes. Regarding stage performances: When everyone else has finished playing, you should not play any notes you have left over. - |

Re: radio help
Thanks, Curly! Unfortunately, it did say CODE on the display.

If you can't hear them all click, then they can't be used for code entry. If you don't get the code entered within three tries, just leave the ignition on for one hour... then try again. If I had a sticky button, (and didn't have the time/skill to tear the front end of the radio apart), I'd use a Q-tip dunked in HOT water to moisten / dissolve the Pepsi, then try to enter the CODE. Don't spray anything into the front of the buttons, especailly not something caustic like Fantastic. :-( 'Curly' --------------------------- To REPLY: You must remove two underscores from the return address to reply directly . . . . . .
