The general concensus here is to use whatever your Owner's Manual
states, especially if it's still on warranty.

It's that simple.

No need to ponder the inscrutabilities of viscosity, etc. If it says
5w-30, then use that.

That's what my Nissan uses and I won't deviate from it...except that I
DID go to a synthetic: Mobil 1 5w-30.
