Re: 2003 Accord Further Experiences

To the previous poster, my car came with the Michelins which I
consider a premium tire. I'm assuming the poster who is disappointed
in the suspension has the same tires.

On the dent side, I talked with my insurance this morning who
encouraged me to get it fixed right. I have a $250 deductible so doing
it right is mostly an expense for them! The adjuster just came out and
found a couple of things I'd missed including a depression along the
edge of the hood. He pointed out that you can see the seam below and
explained that while they could probably pop out the other hood dents,
that one wouldn't work. He says, do it right and put a new hood on the
car, fixed the fender dings and then paint the hood and blend it into
both fenders. He found another ding in the roof but said it would be
easy to pop out. He found a surface scrape on the side of the roof
that looks like a branch slid along there which he thinks will buff
out.

Interestingly, he suggested I have a local Honda dealer that he says
has a good body shop do the work. He recommended an independent on my
last go round (a guy hit my Camry last year), but thought that given
how new the car is, that if there were any problems in the future, it
wouldn't hurt to be able to note to Honda that their dealer did all
the work.

Gonna be interesting how well the painter can color match the rest of
the car. Be sure to post regular updates. bob
