I have posted this question 2 weeks ago and received suggestions from many
of you pointing to a well known Main Relay problem. First of all thanks to
everyone who made that suggestion. I found at least 4 dry joints on the PCB
circuit of the main relay. It took me 10 minutes and now everything seems to
be working fine (so far)

Here is another interesting thing happened. I have an after market glow
gauges and often it was making dim/bright appearance on and off. Suddenly it
all gone and now it is very bright. I am not sure it has anything to do with
resoldering of the PCB circuit joints (main relay). I am just curious to see
whether it was coincident or any connections.

Again, I really appreciate you all for helping me resolving the issue.

I have a set of those myself. They have a reputation for burning out
components in the little plastic control box. The guage faces
themselves seem to last. But before you blame the control box, check
the wires leading to the potentiometer that controls the brightness.
While getting at the main relay you may have pulled one off or caused
one terminal to short against another.
