Re: Gas mileage: super vs regular
I also like to believe there is no gas mileage difference between reg and
super. Super is to be used in case the engine knocks ( going uphill, very hot weather, vehicule heavily loaded, etc) Some manufacturers recommend super especially if the compression ratio is close to 10:1 or higher ( My 98 Maxima) while others with same ratio recommend regular octane gas (2002 Odyssey) Daniel "tflfb" <fuksatw@qwest.net> wrote in message news:%qhLa.36$2d1.17761@news.uswest.net... > I run the cheapest it makes no difference. > Tom > "noway" <nospam@nospam.com> wrote in message > news:_VOKa.329320$3n5.133956@news2.central.cox.net ... > > If your car only requires 87 octane, there is no advantage to putting 92 > > octane gas in it.
