it sounds like to me that the "mechanics/technition" is rushing through it and not doing a proper job the "proper procedure when a check engine light comes on is to scan the vehicle for codes thats the first thing. then from there that tells the technition" what circuit is having a problem then from there he will look up on diagnostic chart and that could be in a "service manual or on a subscribed AllData system" and it gives the technition a series of tests to perform to isolate the problem. thats the way a good diagnoses should be done. if honda is just pulling codes and changing parts based on what the scanner says alone i would "worry" thats really not what a scan tool is intended for as mentioned proper procedures need to be done first if there not following it i would RUN.
