After pointing that out to them that I wasn't told about the "recycling fee", they showed me a little handwritten sign that supposedly told everyone this recycling fee would be added. Aside from the fact I was keeping the old battery for another use, I'm a half hour drive from the store. That would have chewed up at least the same amount in gas to return it. As for the battery itself, it seems fine. |

Some states do not even require that the information about the fee be posted in stores for consumers to see. |
