I'm not a cheerleader for Walmart and can't say I've ever tested their
batteries to any great detail but I have to say I've had good luck
with Walmart batteries. Relatively cheap and my experience so far is
they seem to last. I keep an eye on the water level and refill only
with distilled water.
I just replaced one that was 7 years old that had been sitting in a
car that was only sporadically used. It normally went months between
start ups. Recently I've been using it for a daily driver. The reason
I replaced it was I killed it leaving the lights on and it didn't seem
to want to hold a charge after that. I figure 7 years out of a battery
I paid around $50 for isn't bad. If I hadn't killed it, who knows how
much longer it would have lived.
