Only time I have had my '92 accord stop on me in the 215000 miles that
I have owned it since new it was the 'ignitor' in the distributer.
Engine quit like the key was shut off. i don't think it's your problem.
Try this: Sit in drivers seat. Turn radio off. Turn key to first
position where the dash lights come on and the fuel pump runs foe about
three seconds. If you don't hear the pump, there is something wrong in
the fuel delivery system. If you do hear the pump, replace the plug
wires if they are original to the car. Be sure the cap and rotor are
clean inside and out and the plugs are in good condition. MAY take care
of your no start. bob

No go.
The relays are BRAND NEW
The sparks plugs are BRAND NEW
The spark plugs wires are BRAND NEW.

In BOTH cars.

Only the distributer has not been replaced. What should I do next?

I used to own Volvos. Should I go back to them?

Check for spark before replacing any more parts.

Agreed. It might be the ignition switch or other component that is not
allowing spark.

Good luck,

Re: Starting problem (DON'T say relay)

I'm curious about it being both cars. Parts don't fail in two separate
cars like that. I'd look for other commonalities. For example, you
probably get gas at the same place. Could the gas be contaminated with
water or ?? What else is common between these cars? Did you just do
the same maintenance on both cars before the problem started?

Weather could be another commonality. If it has been especially damp,
then both old distributor caps could be arcing, for instance. But
frankly I think that's pushing it a bit.
