Remote Locking Query
Does anyone know if it would be possible to install remote locking in my
2008 Honda Jazz? It's the only drawback so far. If it's possible would it be an expensive job? Uk based btw. Thanks in advance for any advice. xiv |

If they are power, any remote car starter will also include controls for the door locks. If they're manual, you'd need to add actuators and the wiring. Not extremely expensive parts, but the job is a bigger pain in the ass... -- Joe - Linux User #449481/Ubuntu User #19733 joe at hits - buffalo dot com "Hate is baggage, life is too short to go around pissed off all the time..." - Danny, American History X |

That is to say opening one door opens them all. Does that mean it's easier? Ideally I guess I'd be looking for an official Honda job but if there's a solution out there that doesn't involve major surgery I'd be very happy! |

If you head to your local car audio/alarm specialist they'll fit a kit for you for less than Honda. I fitted an aftermarket kit to my 97 Accord without too much hassle, but I did need reference to all the wiring colours on the power lock control module. Kit cost about £50, so I guess you might pay £150 including fitting. Give Honda a ring and see what they want to charge... Al |

An aftermarket remote start unit with power lock controls is usually around $129, installed. -- Joe - Linux User #449481/Ubuntu User #19733 joe at hits - buffalo dot com "Hate is baggage, life is too short to go around pissed off all the time..." - Danny, American History X |

Should be a similar option for yours Bob |
