Remote start install issue

Hi,

I have a mechanic installed a remote start (Audiovox Prestige APS686T)
on my 2006 Honda Pilot. After the installation is done, the car won't
start with the remote start. The mechanic said that the tach signal
is unavailable and I need to find a part "Multi Coil Pack Adapter"
based on the installation manual:

//Multi Coil Pack Adaptor: (Optional)
//IF REQUIRED, The multi coil pack adaptor, (P/N 136B1400), is
designed for use with vehicles where
//single point ignition coil or single injector cannot be learned or
single point tach signal is unavailable.

My questions are:

- Is the multi coil pack adaptor needed?
- I saw 2 versions of the wiring diagram for the Pilot, I wonder which
version is correct or if they mean the same:

PART COLOR LOCATION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
version1: TACH BLUE @ DRIVERS FUSEBOX,
LIGHT GREEN 10-Pin Plug
version2: TACH Blue/silver dots 1-pin plug near master
brake cylinder

Thanks.

Right above the top edge of the driver's kick panel, there are two light
green plugs, the tach signal can be found at the blue wire in the smaller
plug.

Thanks for the response. Does anyone know if the "multi coil pack
adaptor" is needed for installing a remote start on a 2006 Pilot?

Does Pilot belong to group that "vehicles where single point ignition
coil or single injector cannot be learned or single point tach signal
is unavailable. "?

Thanks.

The Pilot does not need anything extra to get a tach signal. The tach signal
is to let the remote start know the engine is running.

Does the engine crank?
Does it start but then run for only a few seconds?
Was an immobilizer bypass installed? (put the key in the ignition and leave
it in the off position. Then try the remote start. If it now starts and
runs, either a bypass was not installed, incorrectly installed or you have a
bad immobilizer bypass unit).
