remote starter

Hi.

I have a remote starter for my 98 accord.

The car only starts when I press the remote control at less than one inch
from the antena !!! It's no longer a "remote" system !

The batterie is new, antena is well welded. No dust.

Tks for your help.

Alain.

You may need a new FOB. Sometimes when they age (and get naged around) the
antenna (in the FOB) get's "out of tune".

Do you know who makes the remote starter system in your car. It is not
Honda. What are the markings on the front and/or back? FCC ID if the brand
isn't listed.

It is an astrostart RS-10x (RS-101/102/103). This model has been existing
between 1993 and 1994.
http://www.astrostart.com
The internet site from the company says it is discontinued and replaced by
model "803".. The "803" Fob may work with my system..

Re: remote starter

Mine works far away if I Touch it against my wrist or right above my neck
under my chin when I press the button. It really works, they told me at
the place that it uses your body as an antenna. Sounds like you have some
kind of reception problem but it might help.
