Removing Emblems
 

I hate how the dealership added about 3 different emblems to my new Civic Si
and I want to remove them. Generally how are they applied, via adhesive or
clips? Do I just take a hair dryer to it and warm the adhesive up or is
there an easier way to remove the emblems?

Robbie - How about this. Take the vehicle back to the dealer and have them
remove the decals. Assuming that they are de fact advertisements for the
dealership and they were placed there without your approval or permission.
Failing that you could ask for remuneration being as your vehicle is
basically a rolling sign board advertising the dealership. I know all dealer
do this but legally they have no right to do so.

remove the decals. Assuming that they are de fact advertisements for the
dealership and they were placed there without your approval or permission.
Failing that you could ask for remuneration being as your vehicle is

I made the dealer remove the extras when I bought my first Prelude.No
problem,they just rolled it over to the service bay and removed them.
(I told him the license plate frame was advertisement enough,and the car
was going out-of-state,anyways.)

So they're pretty much just glued on there then sounds like. Any worries
about the paint coming off along with them? Asked them if they would and
they said yeah but I might have to sign some liability slip in case the
paint chips off.
