Spark plug wires

Hi there,

I just picked up a new set of Bosch premium spark plug wires
for my 98 civic. They are a little longer than the NGKs
(also aftermarket) that I had before. I got these because
they are lifetime warranty, and as far as I know, Bosch is
a good name when it comes to ignition parts.

I also bought these wires for my parents' Ford Windstar
last spring, and I remember that they were too long as well.
Why would Bosch make their wires longer than OEM? They
don't seem too long to affect functionality, but the longest
wire is almost 2" longer than my NGKs, which as I recall,
were identical to the OEMs (made by NGK as well).

Reduces the number of parts to be manufactured.

Better 2" too long than 2" too short. Just make sure the extra length
doesn't allow the wires to touch any exhaust part.
