Steering Wheel
Had an alignment done recently on a 2003 Accord. The technicians don't
know how, or are impatient in centering the steering wheel. The alignment is good but the steering wheel needs to be turned a few degrees to be perfectly centered. Does anyone know how to remove the face off the sterring wheel? Do you have to unplug the air bag? Thanks. |
Re: Steering Wheel
You do not turn the actual steering wheel to do this, you adjust the
tie rod ends equally. highkm wrote: > Had an alignment done recently on a 2003 Accord. The technicians don't > know how, or are impatient in centering the steering wheel. Re: Steering Wheel
Unfortunately you must return the car to the alignment shop for the work to
be done properly. "highkm" <ic3po@mac.com> wrote in message news:1158685756.174389.147210@d34g2000cwd.googlegr oups.com... > Had an alignment done recently on a 2003 Accord. In other words, it's not acceptable for them to make you pay for substandard work. 'Curly' |

Not only is that what the shop owes you, but changing the position of the steering wheel also changes the points at which the turn signals self-cancel. I did that once many years ago and was really unhappy with the way the turn signals worked. Mike |
