storing an accord for the summer

my 91 Accord EX is my 'winter beater' and I am trying to decide whether
to sell it now (drove it a lot this winter BUT out $$s into valves, etc)
OR take it off the road (no insurance etc) for the summer - saving me
about $500.

Not driving it for a few months - what are the issues? Can I (for
instance) put stabil into the fuel system and not do anything with it
until November?

Thoughts?

thanx...

I would leave comprehensive insurance coverage on it while you're not
driving it. I would also put it up on jack stands and cover the tires with
some small tarps (or parts of) to protect the tires from the effects of the
sun. Adding fuel stabilizer would probably be a good idea, but, I would also
start the car once a week, just to keep every working and putting it in gear
to allow the drive train to work as well.
