If you are buying or have a Tapco siding break, this option is well worth the money. It saves time and gives you clean straight edges on your trim pieces. After cutting aluminum trim coil by hand for years, I wish I had the Pro Cut-Off a long time ago. The case provides a compact secure storage case to protect your investment. Shop around, prices vary considerably (Amazon was the lowest price I found). I am very satisfied with this well made tool.
clean crisp and smooth on all coil ...this is a real time saver...and brings your quality up a notch.
the tapco pro cut-off has already paid for itself , in labor savings and material savings , before when I would use a utility knife , it would take longer and damage the material you were cutting . great value , great product. very easy to use
I used the Pro Cut-Off for the first time and was amazed at how easy and distortion free it cut the material on the brake. It absolutely eliminates ANY need for knifing the material on the brake. I have seen a number of brakes with knife damage on the hinges. Since my Pro III brake was new and I did not want to "dork it up". Seen too many of these brakes damaged in this fashion. Seems odd that one would spend $1200+ dollars on a brake only to drop a utility knife into the hinge of the brake time and time again.I purchased the cut off tool. If for nothing else the Cut-Off tool is much faster and cleaner than the knife method. I would definetly recommend the use of the tool for anyone who has a brake. My only concern has to do with Tapco showing hanging the Cut-Off tool on the storage/coupler nut on the end of the brake. I was a bit suspiscious of using this method ans instead use a small table next to the brake to hold the tool and other misc items, e.g. pencils, sample profiles, paper pad with measurements, gaging blocks. etc. This tool gets my shiny side up recommendation.
I purchased both the Sidewinder, and the Pro Cut-Off at the same time, I'm glad I did, it sure speeds the operation up. I have found nothing wrong with this tool, I highley recommend it.
For use with all PRO Series Port-O-Benders (1995 and after). Quickly, safely and easily makes factory quality cuts in coil stock, sheet metal, and vinyl right on your Port-O-Bender.
The Tapco Pro cut-off quickly, safely, and easily makes factory-quality cuts in coil stock, sheet metal, and vinyl with your Pro Series Port-O-Bender (1995 models and after). This helpful, rugged device produces straight, square cuts while it reduces scrap and eliminates knifing damage to costly bending hinges. Why use dangerous utility knives with open blades? This safe cut-off features hardened and captured tool steel cutting knives, and it's made of lightweight aluminum. The 10379 even comes with a durable molded carrying case to protect and transport the cut-off when you're not using it.
