Towing with 03 Odyessey
Looking at pulling a house trailer rated at 4100 lbs. The
books says 3500 lbs but I was told that this van is capible of much more. It's not the pulling weight but rather the ability to bring it so a stop within a certain distance? Any advise me on this as I don't want to void any warratee. Yes I have the transmission cooler installed by Honda. thanks, dave deuce@sympatico.ca |

i would say if stopping is the only concern, you should have
booster brakes put in your van. My parents have a 95 windstar and they are towing a trailer with 3000lbs, up here you have to have the brake booster by law. Its that little box that hooks up to the trailer brakes, costs about $100 to have installed at any trailer shop. t |

If stopping is the issue you are not going to address it with anything you
can do to the van. What you can do is use a trailer with electric brakes so the van braking system is not over-loaded. Not sure, but I'll bet that is a helluva lot more than $100. -- - GRL "It's good to want things."
