Transmission problems?
 

My friend has a Honda Oddysey and he wants me to post this question for him
since he doesn't own a computer.

Occasionally, his Honda Oddysey seems to be stuck on low gear and won't
shiftt to high gear while driving
and he notice the RPM dial doesn't move either when this happens. Releasing
and pumping the gas pedal doesn't help either. He has 51K miles on his
vehicle.

Years ago, I used to own a Honda Civic and at one time while driving down
the turnpike, the same exact thing happened but that was the only time it
happened.

Any info would help before bringing the vehicle to the shop.
