What is the deal with all of these weird posts in this group? I'm starting
to see more and more of this non-relevent clutter.

I agree. There is a similar trend in other newsgroups. My theory is that
many of the spammers are now blocked from sending emails to lots of
people. There are now several different programs that block emails from
spammers. The spammers are now making use of newsgroups to post there
messages. In addition, weird people with too much time on their hands also
gets their rocks off by posting their weird messages in newsgroups. I try
to ignore them.
