Window TInt

I have an new 03 Accord. Dealer says if I put tint on the windows and the
"window actuators (or maybe "regulators"?) go out that it isn't covered by
the warranty. I can't find anything in all of my paperwork that states this.
Service manager said he really thought it was about older models and crappy
parts. Sounds like BS to me.

Re: Window TInt

sounds alot like bs, tint isn't even as thick as a piece of paper, it would
have little to no affect

Ask the dealer mentioned above to show you the documment or paperwork that
state the above details. It's my guess that he or she is lying to you. The
local Honda Dealership has an expert on staff that tints car windows.

Re: Window TInt

That's pure bullshit!!
Dealers do tint jobs on cars all the time as "spiffs" to add to their profit
line. Most salesmen don't know jack about the car they sell or the
warranties that come with it.
Go get your tint job with no worry, except having a good professional do the
job so it doesn't bubble later on.

Re: Window TInt

I'm sure if you get aftermarket tint, and your window wutever DOES go out,
they'd probly use that as an excuse not to cover you. better ask for sure,
get the NAME of the person who says it's OK... thendo it. and if something
comes up you can say .. well 'blah blah blah said it's ok'

Yeah, and for about $250 more probably than others would charge.
