If you are getting gas in your crankcase oil you have a serious problem.
This indicates that there is some way that unburned gas is getting into your oil sump. This can happen if there is a crack in your cylinder head that gas is seeping through into the oil flow areas, or perhaps there is a problem with your piston rings or your cylinder walls and gas is going past your pistons into the oil sump. I once had an MG sports car which developed a similar problem - a retaining clip on a piston wrist-pin game loose and scored the cylinder wall, allowing gas to blow-by the piston. If this is the case you will need a new engine block. |
