Truthfully there is no correct answer to this question. It all depends on how well the car was maintained. Many cars last past 150,000 miles but some cars die before 100,000 miles. Honda and Toyota have a reputation for well built long lasting cars. I have a 1993 Toyota Camry with over 200,000 miles and the car still runs fine. So if you took car of you car (i.e regular maintenance and repairs) then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Honda's are pretty good little cars. If you don't have any major engine or transmission issues, you can probably get another 80,000 to 100,000 out of it. Just keep up on the routine maintenance and you should be fine. You know, stuff like oil changes, replacing plugs and wires... things of that nature.

That Quaalude should run forever if you keep up the maintance.... The timing belt should be replaced if you haven't done so...then just DRIVE!

If you keep up on ALL the maintenance (Timing belt, transmission fluid changes, brakes, valve adjustments, in addition to engine oil/filter, and air filter), you can reasonably get 300k+ miles from it.I have an '89 Prelude 2.0Si with 196k on it and it's still going strong and getting 28.something per gallon. However, in the last two years, it's had replaced/serviced: Timing belt, clutch, brakes, tires, transmission fluid, oil & filter changes every 3k miles (w/ a good name brand oil), tires rotated every other oil change, new plugs and wires, brake fluid flushed, and regular injector cleaners in the gas. Sounds like a lot, but other than the timing belt, clutch and tires, I've done the rest myself - big $ saver if you are able.So, it really depends on you as to how long your Prelude will live.
