You probably just need the brake pads, not the brake rotors. When brakes on a car start to wear out, it is the pads that have wear and not the metal rotors (the discs).































The only time that you would need to replace the rotors as well is if they have been damaged in some way, are very old, or have been warped by overuse.

If the pads are worn out, the pads are all you need. If the rotors are damaged due to pads worn down to the metal the rotors may be turned (shaved down to remove grooves) but they have to be at least a certain thickness left over to continue to use the rotors. If not you will have to replace them. Some auto parts stores like CarQuest are able to turn rotors. Check out following link to video on changing brakes:

i would change just the pads, maybe the rotors depending on there condition
