Why did honda stop making the Prelude?

In 2001, the Honda corporation stopped making their sporty coupe, the prelude. Does anyone know why and does honda have plans to unvail a new version of the car in the future?

Honda stopped making the Prelude because Prelude basically stood for Prelude to spending half your time on the side of the road looking to repair it. I had a Prelude and it was one of the crappiest cars I've ever bought. I would buy a Ford before that piece of crap and we know what Ford stands for...

They had the S2000 come out the year before, and they were hyping the new Accord Coupe around that time. Both of those overlap with the Prelude.

Hello!? The RSX was being sold in Japan for years under the name Integra which was mechanically the same as the Prelude. The RSX is the "new" Prelude.

Im not so sure if they'll make a reversion of it, but they discontinued the Prelude because of low sales, and the new models at that time were the big hype. (S2000, Accord etc)
