If you're interested in superior safety features and warranty, you should at least take a look at the Hyundai Elantra SE. This model offers electronic stability control and active headrests (ESC may be standard on all 2008 Elantras; you should check). ESC is a safety feature that many say is as important as seat belts (see link in Sources below). Personally, I no longer would buy any car without ESC. Active headrests help prevent whiplash if you're rammed from the rear, not an uncommon experience if you talk to veteran drivers. Having been rammed by another car going 40 mph while I was sitting at a stoplight, good seats and active headrests would be very important to me.Here is Hyundai's comparison of the Hyundai Elantra SE with the Civic:http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicle/co...3&year=2008The Elantra reportedly was ranked by the EPA as the most fuel efficient non-hybrid mid-sized sedan. At least check it out, and decide if you want to pay more money for a Civic without ESC. See fourth generation in this article:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_ElantraHyundai also offers a superior warranty as a standard feature, including a 100,000 mile/10-year powertrain warranty.Safety features offered on Elantra; compare with Civic:http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicle/el.../safety.aspxGo to the library and read Consumer Reports, if you don't subscribe to the magazine.I bought a Hyundai Sonata and I'm very pleased with it. My only complaint was that Hyudai didn't offer a five-gear automatic transmission which would raise fuel efficiency at high speeds.

a new car you might be into is the new 2008 accord.it has a new body style, and a powerful v-6 engine, while at the same time returing 25 or better.
