$279 for 30K maintenance?

That seems to be the price whether a dealer or at Tire Kingdom, Midas
or any big names that are advertising "we do warranty work". But do
you trust a dealer over them??? I have a fellow officer who is a
former technican who will do all my warranty checks & I just buy the
parts at NAPA or Auto Zone. Didn't ask him his rate,..... (pizza & a
12 pack of beer)

Re: $279 for 30K maintenance?

There is nothing that says that you can't do the maintenance work
yourself. Still, Hyundai dealerships are notorious for denying
warranty claims when owners do the work themselves or modify their
cars. If you do not have the work done at your dealer or at another
major shop, make sure that you keep good records of when work was done
and keep receipts for all parts and labor charges (if applicable).

Also, my dealer charges $340 for the 30K work. Most of the shops in
this area charge about the same. $280 sounds like a deal.

Ganley Hyundai is meeting the advertised Tire Kingdom rate of $279, so
they get it. I have a huge file folder for all receipts with most
recent up front. So weird that Hyundai tells me 7500 for each oil
change, yet I do 3500.

Hyundai tells you 7500 for each oil change if you meet their completely
impractical usage criteria. Almost all normal people will need to
adhere to the "heavy duty" maintenance schedule, which dictates oil
changes every 3000 miles.

3000-3500 is oil change time 7000-7500 includes tire rotation.

Amazing we have a troll from Saturn's group here.... yep, I had the
joke in 1998 a SW1. Cheap car. BUT great GM folks built it to have
the coolant mix with the oil thus burning up the engine in a year.
$750 to rebuld it & 2 weeks later they recall it do to the
problem............. BOY DID I SELL IT FAST & went Hyundai - GREAT
CAR, GREAT COMPANY.

2002 Sante Fe FWD 2 4 cyl, I get 6 year 72000 warranty, 10 year trans,
as well as road side assistance due to their horsepower claim error.
We did great on this purchase.
