'06 Sonata LX radio changes to 87.7 FM when switching from CD to radio
Has anyone else experienced the radio changing to 87.7 FM when
switching from a normal music CD (not MP3) to the radio? The screen will display preset 5 and a frequency of 87.7 FM, which is just white-noise up here in cow-hampshire. I have tried several times to duplicate this, but it only seems that it happens when the car is first started and the CD is turned on directly (by pressing "CD" or by normal power button and CD resumes), then switched over to the radio (via the FM/AM button). And it only happens with a normal CD, not an MP3 compilation. Any clues? -M |

If I press the preset shown on screen, it will change to the correct frequency for that preset. And this only happens after the CD is started after the car is started. I can not duplicate this action any other time. -M |

Re: '06 Sonata LX radio changes to 87.7 FM when switching from C
Sounds like a defective radio. Be sure to explain the necessary steps to
the dealer so they can verify your radio is defective. |
