1999 Sonata driver window prob
My wife's 1999 Sonata driver side window is very slow to close especially on
cold wet days. The dealership said they fixed it once then twice saying nothing is wrong with the window. You actually have to pull the window up while pushing the button when the window is about 1/2 way up to get it to close. We are at a loss and it is a pain in the butt to get your food from the back window at drive thru's. Ha Ha Thanks in advance JMach |

Ha Ha > > Thanks in advance > JMach ============== JMach, The window track is almost certainly misaligned. It doesn't take much misalignment to make the window bind. Continued operation in that state puts stress on the window motor, and more importantly, on the operating mechanism -- especially the plastic portions of the regulator. There is a fuzzy insert on the inner surface of the window track and when the track is wet it has greater resistance, exacerbating the problem. It's kind of humorous that the dealer would tell you that nothing was wrong when you have to pull the window up by hand. Obviously that's not true, and if you are under warranty your most economical choice is to continue to ask for the window to be repaired. If you are out of warranty any competent garage should be able to fix it the first time. Good luck, Harry |

Does it make an noise when you press the button to close it?
I had problems with my 99 Sonata drivers side window as well. I went to my dealer and they just replaced the regulator, under warranty. :-) "JMach" <Jmach@home.com> wrote in message news:LCmgb.392$gG3.40670@news.uswest.net... > My wife's 1999 Sonata driver side window is very slow to close especially on > cold wet days.
