1st Long Trip 2006 Sonata GLS
 

Just got back from a thousand mile road trip over the holiday's, and it
drove like a charm. Most noticable was the highway stability in high
winds and rain (half the trip). Like a rock. Also noticed that you
really have to be a little more aware than perhaps a smaller lighter
car coming to a stop and anicipate the circumstances or so it seemed to
me. It's been said in that the shorter seat "pans" contribute to leg
fatigue, BS! Very little body fatigue at all. I find that the trip
computer is a bit of bother as you have to take one hand and your eyes
off the road and reach around the wheel while driving. Perhaps a mount
on the steering wheel along with the radio and cruise control would
take at least one of these issues away. Internal room and trunk space
phenomal. 3 people, luggage (gifts boots etc) for four days not an
issue at all. Gas mileage was much better than expected with the 6.
The larger engine gave a bit more security while highway driving as the
additional power was called on more than once to avoid potential
problems. Windsheild wipers left not a smudge and clearing the glass
was made quicker with the 6 sprayers on the hood. Front visibility was
excellent side was good (be sure to check twice with that door
stanchion there) and rear, well I still miss the windshield wiper.
All in all passed the intitiation with an A. Doc

I picked up my new Sonata V6 about a month ago. Also did a long trip with 2
other adults in the car. Lots of leg room and comfort front and back seats
with prenty of luggage space. The car is amazing. I was travelling at
speeds up to 145 kms without even noticing I was going that fast...
hehehhe. ( My sister noticed it heheh). Having different people drive the
car, the adjustible pedals is wonderful. I can't say any bad about the car
it is fantastic.

I picked up my new Sonata V6 about a month ago. Also did a long trip with 2

Try this for the side mirror adjustments. It takes a little time to get used
to, but it works great. It works best on the highway, not too good for
normal driving around town.

Sitting in your normal driving position, lean to the left until your head
just touches the window. Adjust the left mirror so you can just see the left
rear corner of the car.
Next, lean to the right about the same amount as you did when you put your
head against the window and adjust the right side mirror to see the right
rear corner of the car.
Finally, adjust the up/down for each side based on your seat height to get
the best view of the road behind you..
If done right, or with a little "tweaking" as you drive you should see an
approaching car in your left side mirror up to the point where you just need
to glance to your left to see it out your window.
When passing a car, you will be completely clear when you can see both
headlights of the car you just passed.

Between 27 and 29 highway. 80mph on average most of the way
mountianous driving for about 300 miles out of 1000, 3 adults and a
very heavy luggage load, trunk was basically full, happy with that Doc

mountianous driving for about 300 miles out of 1000, 3 adults and a
