2000 Sonata Wiper water won't squirt

Hi All,
My wipers work fine but no water will squirt when the button is
pressed. Is there a pump somewhere in the line? Or is there a fuse
somewhere just for the squirter motor? There is some water in the
resevoir so it isn't dry.

Thanks for the help

Are you sure the "button" is the washer? On the Sonata I
had the button on the stalk is the mist for the wiper.

The washer was activated by pulling on the stalk.

Edd

Hah. I made the same mistake and also posted here about it!
I was all ready to get a new washer fluid pump!
The button is just for a single wipe of the blades.
To get the washer fluid you need to pull on the arm.

Thanks everyone. That was it. I needed to pull the handle not push the
button. My wife's Toyota is a push button, so I assumed it was the
same.

I would have read the manual, but I bought the car used recently, and
it did not have a manual. I ordered one from the dealer, but it isn't
here yet.

Thanks

Do you fill them up in different spots? My arm flows fluid, while the
mister isn't working at all, or am I doing it wrong? I turn the wipers
on, hit the mist button on the end of the stalk, and nothing. I pull
back on the arm with the wipers on and plenty of fluid comes out.

It is working as designed. Pulling on the stalk activates
the pump for the washer fluid. There is only one pump and
fluid reservoir.

Pressing on the button on the end of the stalk will activate
the wipers for one wipe. Try it when the wipers are off.
Useful when there is a mist on the windscreen but not enough
moisture is falling to necessitate using the wipers.

The owners manual explains all of this. I find it useful to
read through it at least once to see what features the car
might have and how to operate them.
