2003 Elantra - does it have a splash shield?

I've been noticing a lot of mud splatter in the engine compartment after driving in the rain (just wet roads, not through big puddles). Does the Elantra have a splash shield that should minimize this?

There are a couple very small shields under certian parts of the engine,
but it's mostly open. There are also two significantly sized splash
shields between the wheel area and the engine or trans.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the splatter is
unavoidable and can't be too good for the moving parts.
I've been washing out the engine compartment every so often.
Any recommendations beyond that? regards...

If you're not in an area where road salt is used, I wouldn't even worry
about washing the engine.+
