What is the flush and refill interval for the manual transmission and what
type of tranny fluid does it take? Thanks. Steve |

Drain and refill is 60K miles for the '00 Accent. Check your owners manual for the recommended interval for your car. I HIGHLY recommend using only Hyundai transmission fluid. It's readily available, but you'll have to look for it specifically. Do not use a GL-5 lubricant, as it does not work with the type of synchros in the Hyundai transmission! I changed my tranny to Redline MT-90 synthetic (at 10K miles) and I'm quite pleased with it. Unlike conventional oils, it doesn't get thick as molasses in cold weather. http://www.redlineoil.com/products_g...57&subcatID=18 |
