2003 Sonata complaint
I really do love my car. I get an amazing number of complements on it's
looks. It's the "rare" pearl white. My only complaint is the seats. They're fine driving to and from work, 6 minutes each way. But, on longer trips, over 45 minutes, there just isn't enough support and I end up with an aching lower back. Have you experienced the same problem? Have you found a solution? If so, would you share it with the group? Thanks, in advance, John D. |
Re: 2003 Sonata complaint
I agree with your observations. I have some chronic back pain and that's
why we opted for the power seats. Made for a painfree back at the end of a long day of driving on our recent vacation. Much better than my Taurus. Re: 2003 Sonata complaint
I have an '02 with power seats and love them. Drove my wife's saturn to
work this morning (since my battery died, see other post), and my back is currently killing me after a 20 minute ride. I think the power seats and lumbar do the trick here! |

Thanks for the replies... I have a driver's side power seat. Perhaps I just
have to work on getting it adjusted better for the correct support. John D. "rdaalen" <jillenrob@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:6d8e381d505b26d6f6a02f4eabd83af1@localhost.ta lkaboutautos.com... Re: 2003 Sonata complaint
I have the same issue with our new 2004 Sonata GLS (non-electric
seat). I've determined the majority of the problem I have (I get sore/tight between my shoulder blades/and my middle back) is the wheel is short compared to the pedals. So when I setup the pedals right, I end up streching for the wheel. Its the streching out to reach the wheel that causes the soreness more than anything. Now when I drive, I cozy up closer to the pedals, which helps the wheel-arm fit. If I bring up the thigh bolster then the leg-fit isn't too bad -- and it does make the overall fit much better. That said, I still could use more lumbar, even with the 3 way adjustable lumbar bolster down in full position. Luckily the car is my wifes, I only drive it to dinner and such. She has zero issues with the seats. However, the problem rules out any long road trips where we would share the driving. That kinda makes me sad.... Otherwise, I love the car. --AceyMan On Sat, 11 Sep 2004 13:47:12 GMT, "John D" <JohnD@no.spam.dot.com> wrote: >I really do love my car. I get an amazing number of complements on it's >looks.
