2005 Santa Fe - Storage Idea/Suggestions
Comparing to Honda's CR-V, Santa Fe to me does not offer much storage
space at/near the dashboard to hold CDs/ cell phone/ paper and pen/ coffee mugs. Wondering for my new 2005 Santa Fe, where to find some any after-market accessory/suggestions for making additional space near the dashboard? *** Cup-Holder >From my previous sorrow experience/expensive lesson of spilling coffee into and damaging the switching gear electronics, any ideas for holding coffee mugs/beverages in Santa Fe safely in the current central console? There is another cup holder behind the central console, but it's rather difficult to reach from driver's seat while driving. |

Re: 2005 Santa Fe - Storage Idea/Suggestions
Hi,
I've been using the pocket in the door to store CD's. I have a soft zippered case that fits about 30 CDs that I've found sufficient. I store a box of kleenex and my EZ-Pass in the lower center console bin, mints, aspirin, change, etc in the smaller upper center console bin. Maps behind the passenger seat. Sunglasses & eyeglass wipes in the compartment between the sun visors. Manuals and a bunch of other junk in the glove box. A flat soft litter bag between the console and the passenger seat was the best compromise for litter I could come up with. I've found the all plastic branded coffee mug that Wawa sells is very stable in the cup holder. I usually carry a bottle of water in the rear cup holder but found it needs to be the squatter design not the taller skinny type. One of those ended up on the floor and almost under my brake pedal one day which scared the hell out of me.
