2005 Tucson - possible electrical problem?

I've just taken delivery of my new Tucson (GL V6 FWD) and there seems
to be a problem that I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing.

I noticed when I picked it up at the dealer that the daytime running
lights were always on regardless of the position of the parking brake.

In fact the running lights would turn on if the key was in the 'on'
position even if the engine is not running.

After verifiying in the manual that the parking brake should control
the lights and that they should in fact turn off if the brake is set I
brought it back to my dealer.

They determined that it had a faulty 'multi switch' and since they did
not yet have this part in stock they removed one from another Tucson
on their lot and installed it in mine.

Everything worked correctly for 24 hours.

Now, it's back to leaving the running lights on all the time again.

I'm guessing that either this part is defective across the board or
the Tucson has an electrical problem.

I'm very dissapointed with this issue and it has cooled any excitement
I had when I first picked up my new vehicle.

I should also mention that I've owned 2 Elantra's in the past and both
where excellent and problem free, which is why I decided to purchase a
Tucson.

I'm curious to know if anyone else is having this problem.

Thanks.

its impossible to expect a new model vehicle to be 100% problem free being
in its 1st yr of production.
hopefully thyll come out with a fix soon...
but, atleast ur tranny aint falling out or something like that.. its minor.
