'98 Accent won't start when warm....?

My '98 Accent sometimes won't start after I shut it off. It on;y happens
when the engine is warm. The engine light is on (sometimes). I had it
checked about 6 months ago and the mechanic said the trouble code was for
the fuel canister solonoid (?) or something like that. I think I saw a post
on here a while ago with someone that had the same problem. Can this sensor
make the car not start? Thanks!

Phil

No, my mechanic told me it wouldn't affect how the car runs so I decided to
save the $300 he said the sensor cost.....

Does your Accent have a tachometer? How many kilos on it?

Re: '98 Accent won't start when warm....?

yes it has a tach, doesn't show anything abnormal at idle or while driving.
It has 173,000km's......

Next time it doesn't start, see if the tach needle bounces while you crank
the engine.

It's probably the sensor acting up when it's warm, so with the
OE scanner, this problem is very easy to troubleshoot. take
your car to a Hyundai dealer.
