Anyone around?

I haven't received any posts for a couple of days now so I'm guessing my
ISP is having trouble. Has anyone else had any problems getting
messages here?

A few weeks ago, I went almost a month getting nothing.

I get my newsgroups on Outlook Express, and actually had to uninstall and
re-install certain things to get the newsgroups working again.

But since my name isn't HyundaiTech, I don't think I was missed. When
HyunaiTech had a similar problem some months back, he was missed horribly.

I hear that come 10/25/08 Comcast is dropping all newsgroup services. What
will I do then?

Sign up with either www.motzarella.org or www.teranews.com or one of the
other free or low cost news providers.

I think I'm back now. My new ISP sucks (Frontier) and apparently
decided to change news servers without telling their customers. They
didn't take down the old server name, but just dropped its news feed.
When I called support, the phone drone didn't even know what usenet or a
news server was!! Sheesh.

He finally went and found someone with a little bit of a clue and they
gave me the new server name.

This is just another in a long series of issues since epix was bought
out by Frontier.
